Virginia's Valentine

This acrylic painting is meant to look like it was discovered faded and worn at the back of an attic, long forgotten. It tries to capture the whistful Valentine's poem Virginia Poe wrote to her husband, Edgar Allen Poe shortly before her death at aged 24. The composition harkens to ambiance of Jane Morris photographs, though Morris lived later, combined with the only painting of Virgina, re-imagined.
