Floral Symphony Amidst Verdant Serenity
Vivid hues and delicate strokes interlace upon this 59cm x 84cm oil-on-paper painting, an ode to nature's magestic forms and colours that indeed gift boundless inspiration. This is a sort of tapestry. My admiration for colour is based on the deep conviction that a bright, pure, unclouded colour inevitably affects emotions, and therefore thoughts. In my works, in the peculiarities of drawing with small contrasting strokes, in their rhythm, vortex dynamics, I try to convey the feeling of the immensity, complexity and involuntariness of the world, which allows me, I believe, to express some thoughts about its incomprehensibility. I chose oil painting this time, because it may provide brighter colours and various textures. At the begining, I prepared my oil paints so liquid they merely floated like waters. Now in close this landascape reminds me a pie. Its central subject is floral, my favourite one, which I fail to explain to myself either. It is a compound of different references and visions one captured by my eyes.
