Fishing For A Living

This is a plein air painting done exclusively with a palette knife. I found this small commercial fishing boat in the Moss Landing Commercial boat harbor about 15 miles north on Monterey, CA. I did a similar painting years ago with a different fishing boat. This boat captured my eye as it sat moored next to a another fishing boat that was easily three times its size like Mutt and Jeff as they say. The smaller boat seemed to be the one to capture in paint.
