Ocean Waters

This piece was created after my time in Los Angeles. I used to spend my time in Long Beach throughout the years I was there. One time, I even fell asleep at the beach and woke up to the waves crashing at my feet in the early morning; I had to rush to work that morning. I preferred Long Beach because, unlike Santa Monica, where the tourists flourish, one can relax and enjoy the peace the ocean provides. That's what inspired this painting the most; the peace and calmness the ocean provided me with. I wanted to incorporate that into a work of art. I wanted a bit of the ocean always with me, and during the chaos COVID has created in a world of uncertainty, peace is needed.
