Tranquil Waters
This painting started out by following a video of Bob Ross, but I have never been the type to enjoy recreating something that already exists. I turned off the video and transformed the painting into my own image of what I imagine a peaceful waterfall to look like, drawing on my personal experiences visiting waterfalls in California and Niagara Falls, Canada.. The way the water splashes up when it hits a stone; the way the water is chaotic and loud at the beginning of a water fall and slowly calms down and settles, allowing the aquatic life to flourish as the water settles.
