Blaze

This is a pastel on suede matt board and mounted onto cradle board. A couple of years ago when I was driving through a city, I observed this stunning young girl walking across the street with her skateboard. Her story - kicked out of the house at a very young age, homeless, living with an older male on the street. She advised her name was "Blaise" but went by the "Mad Hatter" on the streets. Blaise was and still is continually fighting the demons and fires around her as she struggles on ... once again homeless.
