Give Her the Long Main Sheet

This is a pastel piece on Canson Mi-Teintes touch paper. This piece was created when I was going thru a very turbulent time of leaving work and entering retirement and a commitment to art full time. His name is Jacques. He is a sea farer. The Newfoundlander's have a saying "Giver Her the Long Main Sheet" which means to let the wind fill the sails on your boat and push you forward never to return where you came". I have gone and I am continually moving forward and I am not looking back at all. Enjoy
