This is a studio painting of Desert Big Horn Sheep in their natural habitat in Palm Desert, CA. I happened to come upon them, from a distance, as they gazed out into the desert tundra! I took many photos and when I returned to my studio I started working on putting together a studio painting. These sheep are absolutely beautiful in their natural habitat. I hope I did them justice!
