Sunflower in a Pot
Sunflowers captivate me with their striking beauty and vitality; they truly stand as the monarchs of all flowers. In this artwork, I aimed to amplify the sunflower's majesty, placing it atop a cushion of leaves, reminiscent of how a queen is shielded by her loyal knights and guards. The background, inspired by Latour, complements the centerpiece. I've heightened the luminosity and tempered the shadows to accentuate the painting's vibrancy. My deep appreciation for Caravaggio's masterpieces is evident, as the arrangement in this piece draws substantial influence from his still life compositions.
