Flower Pot

What luck! The sun came out for a brief moment on this cloudy day. I kept the direct connection between the Hill and the House and catching the little bit of sun coming through the clouds.
Oh yeah, The flower pot is hanging on the porch, it is a cast iron pot.

I am a fan of Andrew Wyeth symbolism and compositional arrangement. I don't do plein aire competitions, but paint out and about where I need to learn something. This location, Kuerner Farm was the inspiration for close to 1,000 of Andrew Wyeth's paintings. I learned of Plein Aire Days, a program of the Brandywine Conservancy in Chadds Ford PA, traveled there for 2 days of painting at Kuerner Farm. To take advantage of the experience, I thought representationally (think symbolism) and not realistically.
