Apothecary

"Apothecary" is a contemporary ode to traditional Dutch still life painting, a rich interplay of textures and objects. Reflective metal pots, vibrant fruit, and dried flowers play against a dark background, evoking the atmosphere of an apothecary from a bygone era. I've also painted a small self-portrait reflected in the pewter pitcher. My aim was to create an interplay of colors, textures, and symbols that create an engaging composition, and merge tradition with a contemporary artistic vision.
