I've visited this location and painted there during various times of the year and have found that the water looks best along these falls in the colder months, when the water has brilliant, crisp color and translucency. This piece was painted back in the studio from photo reference I collected in January, when the icy cold water is crystal clear and the color of the shadows and reflections in the water is about as brilliant as it gets!
