Little Blackfoot Evening
This beautiful spot is on the Little Blackfoot River near Elliston Montana. The river flows along what once was Mullan Road; the first wagon road to cross the Rocky Mountains to the Inland of the Pacific Northwest. It's easy to imagine pioneers, traders, and gold-seekers stopping here to camp for the night and letting their livestock rest before continuing the arduous journey. For Dianna and I it was a quick photo stop on the way home from Missoula. Oh, how times have changed! (Painted in studio.)
